Nicaragua
Contact team leader Matt Densky at mdensky@fellowshipgreenville.org with any questions. Even if you have applied for a previous FG short-term trip, please make sure to carefully review all application fields to ensure that we have the most up-to-date information.

Applications accepted from October 01, 2019 to March 04, 2020.

Nicaragua is a small country, slightly larger than Pennsylvania and slightly smaller than New York, in Central America. The country sits between the Caribbean Sea and the North Pacific Ocean, between Costa Rica and Honduras. Nicaragua has a rich history of the arts, dating back to the area's Mayan roots. Their culture is lively and colorful and the country is full of natural beauty from volcanic mountains to incredible beaches.

Our team will be serving with Praying Pelican Missions which aims to give mission teams the opportunity to make a long-term, genuine impact on a local community. While there, our group of upperclassman students will have the opportunity to serve alongside a local church in a Nicaraguan community. Students will be able to participate in small work projects as well as kids' clubs.

From July 18-24 the team will get to experience serving and learning in this new environment! The cost of this trip is $1,600 and will cover airfare, lodging, food, and more. Upon approval of application, trip participants are responsible for a 10% non-refundable deposit. Participants are also responsible for any meals and snacks purchased in airports and for any souvenirs they wish to purchase. Additional cost may include an up to date passport and any shots the participant chooses to get.
