Grief Support Group in Greenville

It hurts to lose someone. You don't have to go through it alone. If you know someone who has experienced a loss, we have resources to help.

Helpful ways to support someone experiencing grief

  • Pray for them, often.
  • Coordinate a meal schedule among your group. This is a sweet tangible way to and bless our friends. (If you need additional meals and cannot coordinate enough needed among your group, then contact our Care Coordinator, who will initiate our Taste of Grace ministry (designed to provide a meal for families in our church who are recovering from illness or surgery, or who have lost a loved one through death).
  • Send a card and let them know you are praying for them. Don’t forget them a week later or a couple months later.
  • Other examples may be to mow their lawn, clean their house, or watch their children. Often times it is most effective if you just DO these things. If we ask them to call us if they need us, it is not as effective and they will often not ask for help. If you find they have some physical care needs beyond the capabilities of your group, the church also has a group of volunteers that help with these needs. You can contact the Care Coordinator to see if this assistance is available.
  • Encourage them to consider the following ministries available through the church...
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. —Psalm 34:18

Taste of Grace Contact Us

This ministry provides a meal for families in our church in times of personal need. Whether the need is due to childbirth, adoption, illness, surgery, financial hardship, caring for aging loved ones, or because of a death in the family, we feel called to serve them by providing a meal. So if you love to cook or have the resources to send a meal through GrubHub or delivery once or twice a month we could use you! These meals are delivered to an individual’s home. Use the Contact Us link to request a meal or sign up to provide a meal.
