Parent Dedication | Adams Mill
We believe that parents are the primary nurturer of their children's lives and are in the best position to help them know and love God; however, parents are not in this alone. We, as a church family, desire to come alongside parents and partner with them in this calling.
Parent Dedication happens once a year on Next Gen Sunday during the main services. It is an opportunity for parents to publicly make a commitment before the Lord, their family, friends, and the congregation to disciple their child in a God-honoring home, and in turn, the congregation will take this opportunity to pray over these families.
Our celebration will take place on Next Gen Sunday, which is August 3, in the main auditorium for the 9 and 11 AM service here at Adams Mill.
To simplify the registration process, we encourage you to have the following items ready before starting registration:
- Please complete two pieces of homework. First, select a verse from the Bible to be your child’s life verse. Second, write a letter to your child casting vision for the kind of person you hope your child will become over the next 18 years. Include three or four descriptive words that represent the character you hope your child embodies. You will not share these during the service, but we encourage you to share them with your friends and family as you celebrate following the service.
- Gather a picture of your child and a family picture to upload. We will use them in a special slideshow that will be shown during the service.
