Hebrews 11 Study

Widely known for its extensive use of Old Testament scripture, Hebrews points to the supreme nature of Christ as our High Priest, offering believers access to God. Chapter 11 defines faith and brings readers face to face with familiar Old Testament heroes emphasizing their faithfulness in the storyline of God’s narrative. These faith stories focus on specific men and women’s trust in God with only the promise of Jesus and challenge those of us on this side of the Gospel story. Hebrews 11 and the opening verses of chapter 12 point us to Jesus and compel us to trust in his work on the cross and in our lives today.
