Known & Loved - Halo
Fellowship Greenville will be partnering with Known and Loved to offer the Halo program for adoptive and foster families in the Upstate.
Known & Loved is a group of Christian Mental Health Professionals that aims to strengthen families and communicate with connection, utilizing attachment-based neuroscience education, supports, and life-changing experiences.
We have three big needs that people can volunteer to meet:
Meal Provider
Make a meal for 25-30 people the night of one of these classes
Meals will need to be dropped off at Fellowship Greenville in Room 200 at 4:45pm prior to each session.
Halo Buddy
Volunteer to stick close to a child or teenager and engage in activities alongside them. Buddies have special trauma-informed training that is given prior which helps them connect, understand, and help a child through their time at camp or program. These volunteers will be required to participate in a 2-hour trauma training that will be offered by KAL in January.
Adopt a Halo Family
A community group or Bible study group would adopt a family participating in the program and would be prayer partners as well as provide for practical needs. Participant families would provide a list of prayer needs and practical needs (ex., mowing the grass, providing a meal, giving a gift card for dinner).
