Jordan and Erin Maney moved to Provo, Utah in 2023 to begin their ministry to the Latter-day Saints (Mormons) of Utah. Their goal is to share the truth of the gospel with Latter-day Saints and to see Latter-day Saints come to true saving faith in Christ. Jordan is a pastoral candidate and will be voted in as a pastor in February of 2025. Erin is a high school English teacher and uses her career as a way to share the gospel with students and coworkers. They have a 15 month old son named PJ (Peter James).
Jordan is originally from NC while Erin is from SC. They both attended North Greenville University and lived in Greenville for 5 years. They both met on a North Greenville University mission trip to Uganda. While in Greenville, Jordan and Erin both learned what it meant to be faithful members of a local church and what it was like to live life on mission. They knew they wanted to leave SC eventually and move somewhere that the gospel was not. In the winter of 2022, they went on a trip to Utah and that is where they developed a heart for the Latter-day Saints of Utah.
Jordan and Erin joined Mosaic Church in Provo, Utah and chose Mosaic because it is in one of the most unreached cities in North America. There are also very few Christians in Provo. Jordan and Erin love equipping and discipling the local church. Jordan’s pastoral role will be the pastor of discipleship and community groups where he will make sure that as Mosaic grows in width, it continues to grow in depth. Jordan and Erin both love discipling people at Mosaic and making sure that the culture of discipleship continues to grow. Jordan will also have responsibilities like preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and counseling. Way to Pray: Jordan and Erin request prayer as they continue to build relationships in their community.
