PRAYER REQUESTS
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble". Psalm 46:1
"If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land". 2 Chronicles 7:14
The Prayer Team is actively looking for individuals who would like to minister to our congregation by meeting with those who need prayer following the Sunday services. Volunteers are on duty once a month for one service. At this time, we particularly have a need for the following weeks/services: 1st Sunday/2nd Service, and 3rd Sunday/2nd Service. If you are interested in serving with the Prayer Team, please contact Rebecca Cooke at 864-385-3368 or rcooke@fellowshipgreenville.org.
Please pray for these other requests:
- Andy Foth would like prayer for direction in whether to move, and if so, where to move to.
- Lucy Kobliska requests prayer for healing, direction, and continued spiritual growth.
- Stephanie Tollison requests prayer for Gail Tollison, her mother-in-law, who is in hospice care and continues to decline.
- Wenda Starr asks for prayer for healing for Charlene Clark, who fell last week and broke her nose.
- Jennifer Hurst-Riddle asks for prayer for her parents. Her mother’s health is deteriorating, and her father is her primary caregiver and has major heart issues.
- Lindsay Tilley would like prayer for direction in nursing school and the possibility of doing medical missions this summer.
- Anna Hart requests prayer for her friends whose baby passed away a couple weeks ago.
- James Shenton has asked for prayer for healing from a very rare skin disease.
- Please continue to pray for those affected by Hurricane Helene and for those working and volunteering to help!
GLOBAL NEWS OPPORTUNITY TO PRAY: IRAQ
"The three majority-Muslim groups (Shiite Arab, Sunni Arab, and Sunni Kurdish) that compose modern-day Iraq have been in conflict for centuries. Attacks by the self-proclaimed Islamic State (ISIS) forced tens of thousands of Christians to flee the country, leaving a small but bold and faithful remnant. For many of these Iraqi Christians, day-to-day life is focused on survival, and yet they faithfully work to advance the gospel. Many of Iraq’s Muslims have rejected Islam and become open to Christ for a variety of reasons. The violence and instability have also led to a revival among traditional Christians, many of whom have come to saving faith and become bold witnesses for Christ." (via: Voice of the Martyrs)
Way to pray: Pray for the growth of house churches and for Bible distributions in Kurdistan. Pray for the internally displaced. Please pray for continued growth in faith and bold faith.
MISSIONARY HIGHLIGHT: GFELLER
In the summer of 2017, Chad and Cherry Gfeller transitioned to Berlin, Germany to begin work with refugees. Their vision for ministry is to shine the light of the gospel to the men, women, and children of Germany's great city of refuge and their ministry focuses on using the avenue of sports to reach Syrian refugees in the city.
Working with immigrants is at the heart of their assignment in Berlin and over the past seven years they have seen God take them down an unexpected path. As they established outreach alongside their local church, they became more involved with church leadership. Chad joined the elder team at CrossWay Church in 2020 overseeing community and outreach. The year 2024 has brought an even greater role as Chad will take on the role of directional pastor and oversee growth and expansion of the church as they seek to plant new churches in the coming season. The Gfellers are also part of the team supporting fellow FG missionaries, Franz and Kristie Martens, as they plant a church in nearby Potsdam. The Gfellers have two daughters, Quinn and Gracie. You can learn more about the Gfellers ministry by visiting their website at www.lightshinebright.org.
Way to Pray: Pray for the Gfellers as they support the growth of local churches and lead outreach to the many nations in Berlin.
OPPORTUNITY: 2025 SHORT-TERM TRIPS
Each year, we have the opportunity to join God in the work He's doing globally by participating in an FG short-term trip. We invite you to join one of our 2025 trips!
This year, participants will have opportunities to serve through evangelism, light construction, orphan care, and more!
Check out our trip page for all of our trips this year! We will no longer be having a trip launch in the commons area.

- Please pray for Sylvia Christy (France) as she recovers from a minor neck injury sustained after being rear-ended.
- Please pray for the McCrackens (Oregon) as they continue to disciple people in tough circumstances.
- Iglesia Alumbra, a partner church in Barranquilla, Colombia, asks us to help them pray for a larger place to worship. Please also pray for partners in Domzale, Slovenia and Potsdam, Germany as they are also feeling the limitations of space!
